Author Karen Kefira has been writing books and stories since she was three years old (her dad still has her first book). She is currently at work on the novel Becoming Ziz.
Most recently, she completed a screenplay called THE SNOW LEOPARD, which she plans on turning into a novel as her next project.
Karen received her BA from New York University in Creative Writing and Music, and later attended Seton Hall Law School. In addition to writing, she is a visual artist, a trained vocalist, and used to sing in rock bands.
She often uses dark elements to explore her main characters' inner battles on their paths to self-discovery. She enjoys subverting expectations, and has a penchant for making people just a little bit uncomfortable.
While she considers New York City to be home, she left in 2010 and moved to Los Angeles for nine years. Karen now lives in South Florida with her cat, Mr. Whitworth.
